I like the shapes and colors and the placement...I just think it might a bit busy to see the sphere and the water effect clearly.

Just my opinion.

I do like the lighter look, as I seem stuck in dark backgrounds most of the time.

I do see what you mean though. Once I decided to make this an entry for the contest that meant that I was limited in the amount of space that I had, but at the same time I also wanted to showcase what can be accomplished in UF even if I was limited on space. It is after all supposed to represent the group.

I didn't say it here but in the post for the banner that I felt the sphere got "lost in translation." In trying to keep everything as stark white as possible I didn't do as much shading as I normally do because it muted it. I actually struggled quite a bit with the shading and still wasn't totally happy with it but....

Like I said, I see what you mean...
