Evening At White Tree Lake

I have to admit that I had ONCE considered having a UF contest theme of just black and white, not totally realizing how hard that is!!! I have been struggling with this for the past few weeks. I made several attempts but soon realized you can't do a "typical" fractal cause you can't let the colors "guide you. You have to keep things real basic which, for me, is hard to do.

The other thing, there have been so many great entries already that it was making me scared, lol. I didn't think I was gonna be able to come up with anything. But, low and behold, I somehow came up with this. I had been wondering for a while now how to do fractal trees and finally found resources that helped.

I'm actually quite proud of this one but I'd have to say the only thing I don't like is the fact that the trees just come out of the water. I wanted them to be on a hill but it seemed like more trouble than it was worth so I just left them coming out of the water. It's not like that doesn't occur in nature, right?

Anyway, still don't know if I want this to be my entry for the UF B&W contest, might wait to see if I can come up with something else. Just wanted to share this with everyone and see what you think. Now I have the other contest to worry about
